Updating the old version of WordPress, 2.6.5 version was becoming my choice after knowing there are many testimonies which mentioned that the 2,7 version of WordPress gives easy in Usage and  some convenience. There are some differences that we can see when we entering our dashboard area. One of the differences that I can see clearly is about dashboard component placement. There is big changes in this upgrade.

Tag maker which was used to be placed under post writing box, now is placed inside. So does for categorieas. This place replacement make me more effective in giving tags and selecting category for my post since I don’t need to scroll down the screen. The place replacement also happen to some plugins but they are not eliminated. Like All in One SEO pack and Title tag plugin which was moved to buttom area when I updated it.Word counter can be found in bottom side of this box and in the older version this was placed inside. This is helpful for us especially they who earn money online with paid review as they have to know amount of word they have written is right or not.

Actually this new post maker area is not place where you can see the big change. More change can be seen in Dashboard area, an area which will be faced after we entering our username and password. Started from top area, you won’t find write tab as the older version instead of Post tag so do for some tag in the same line.  A box which is used for informing number of post, draft, categories, spam and the others has been changed with vertical position.

Beside that we will find there are some boxes which have been placed in left area, as such  incoming link box and stats box. When we feel contents in each box disturb you, you can hide them by click on the top right corner of each box. In this update we also can see there is a part which is signed with Quickpress. I don’t use it yet. But based on this criteria, it is used for writing post without entering new post maker area. This part also included with tag box, page title box and description.

There are many changes have been made in this newest version of WordPress and the mentioned changes only the change that I see frequently since at the mentioned area where I blogging. If so, upgrading your old version to 2,7 version of wordpress. But wait if you find the other big changes, share to us is a good idea.
